A red sheet under the Christmas tree and a White sheet to open presents on made the season a little brighter as we continued to wait for red-tape to clear so we could begin the process of home-repair.

This is the infamous chair that I've been sitting in for the last 7 months! Those are my couches stacked up in the back-ground, waiting for a spot to set them. I taught school, relaxed, ate, and did office 'stuff', all in this one dining room chair.

For the first couple of days back, until Walmart started taking more then just cash (and the banks wouldn't allow you to draw out cash), we lived on MREs and Cheerios along with some other pretty bland foods and water bottles.

This is only 2 minutes away from our house and we HAD to drive under it to get back home.

This was our neighbors swing set that also got torn up by the tornado. They tried to peice it back together, but we never found some pretty major parts (like the slide).

This was the carpet in our laundry/extra room area. Those spots are mold.

This shed was hit by a tornado that made a distinct curve within about 20 yards of our place.

The couches were all damp, and mold was creeping up the sides of the other furniture. It was numbing.

After people were allowed back in, Josh went back alone to rip out the by-then molded carpet all over our downstairs. It was still wet a week after the Hurricane.

Josh's Mama crammed 10 or 11 people in her VERY cozy house for about 2 weeks! It was eerie watching the huge hurricane pass directly over the spot on the map we call home.

The manditory evacuation comes and we pack up and leave. Almost everything is left behind, trusting God that if we need it, it will still be there. We just brought living things, necessities, and clothes for our visit. The only non-essential we brought was pictures and school books.
